welcome to the good shepherd anglican church of tladi

About Us

The Good Shepherd Anglican Church of Tladi opened it’s doors officially in 1959. Before we opened our doors at 109 Chuene Street, the Good Shepherd was already a way of life, and a Communion of Saints.

In 1956, under the guidance of Revd. Christian Molefe, a committee was established in the locating and building of the Church within the Tladi/Moletsane Community.

Mr & Mrs Ramela opened their doors to the Church, at their home, at No. 6 Bolani Road, Moletsane, which became the first venue for congregational worship.

In August 1958, the venue was changed to Tlholohelo Primary School in Moletsane, due to the growing numbers of congregants, until November 1959.

In December 1959, the doors of The Good Shepherd Church were officially opened under the consecration of Bishop Ambrose Reeves.

The rest as they say, is history.

Collect for the week

God of the covenant you promised mercy and hope for all: gather us to yourself in tenderness, so that, assured of your faithfulness, we may live to your praise and glory; through our Lord Jesus Christ, who is alive and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
